Wallace H. (Wally) Klausky

Wallace (Wally) Klausky , Born July 8, 1934 to Miriam (Higgins) and Joseph L. Klausky in Taunton, MA passed away June 5th at Lutheran Hospital. When he graduated from Taunton High School the family moved to Southwest Harbor, Maine where his father had established a lobster brokering and shipping business. Wally trucked lobsters from Newfoundland and the Maritimes to Boston before and after his enlistment in the U.S. Army. He later owned his own business. When he left Maine and moved to Florida he was employed by and retired from the Broward County School Board as an instructor at McFatter Voc Tech in Fort Lauderdale. He and his wife spent later years in Venice, Florida and moved to Zanesville, Indiana in 2007. He is survived by his wife, Grace Bernice (Hancock) of Zanesville, Indiana, his daughter Karen Klausky of Southwest Harbor, his son Robert (wife: Kathleen) of Ellsworth, Maine and his son David of Southwest Harbor, Maine. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Sheila Klausky of Manset, Maine, brother Alan Klausky (partner: Marian Conner & her daughter Mae) of Southwest Harbor, Maine and brother Joseph L. Klausky, Jr. (wife: Anne) of Daytona, Florida. Surviving Stepchildren are Cynthia Cant (husband: James) of Salem, MA, David Gaiser (wife: Ursula) of Bradford, Vt, Charles Hornberger of Brighton, MA, Rev. Dr. Ted J. Gaiser of Brighton, MA, and Robert Gaiser (wife: Elizabeth) of Southwest Harbor, Maine. Surviving Grandchildren are James, Paige, and Cameron Klausky all of Maine. Surviving Step-Grandchildren are Jaclyn Milne of Danvers, MA, Dexter Gaiser of Vt, and Julia & Sarah McDonald both of Austin, TX. He was pre-deceased by his parents and his brother Michael Klausky. Missing him will be close friends Melba and Kenny Edwards, The Rev. Dan and Andrea Helm , The Rev. Ralph & Glenda Thornton, Rosemary & Steve Kumfer, and many friends and relatives in MA, Fl, and Maine. Donations may be made to the Zanesville Lions Club C/O Kenneth Edwards P.O. Calling hours at Thoma/Rich, Chaney and Lemler Funeral Home will be Tuesday evening June 10th 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. with a Lions Club Service at 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday June 11th at 10:30 A.M. with the Rev. Dr. Ted Gaiser, Rev. Dan Helm, and Rev. Ralph Thornton officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 111 and the U.S. Army Honor Guard. There will be a memorial service in Southwest Harbor, Maine at a later date.
