Sara Jane Jarrett

Jane Jarrett, 67 of Liberty Center passed away at 12: 25 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2011. Jane was born on January 31, 1944 in Wells County to Joe D. & Martha Ferne (Starr) Holloway. In 1949 at the age of 5 she met a classmate Eric “Rick” Jarrett at Kindergarten round-up in Liberty Center. This friendship that started in Kindergarten, lead to them marrying on September 1, 1963 at the Liberty Center Baptist Church. They are the true definition of soul mates, sharing the last 48 years of marriage together. Jane worked when she was first married at the Caylor-Nickel Clinic in Bluffton. She also worked as a secretary at Sterling Casting for 11 years and retired in 1976 to start her family. She also was elected to serve on the Southern Wells School Board for two terms. She was a very active member of the Liberty Center Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, on the Food Committee, and willingly served wherever there was a need. She is survived by her husband Rick of Liberty Center and daughters; Lindsay (husband Travis) Burnau of Uniondale and Emily Martin of Liberty Center. Grandma Jane is also survived by her grandchildren; Dylan Wayne & Faith Jo Ann Burnau and Jarrett Kenneth Martin. She is also survived siblings; Sally Jo Tinkel of Fort Wayne, Dan ( wife Rose) Anderson of Bluffton, Jenelle ( Husband Fred) Webb of Fort Wayne, Jill ( husband Kenneth) Ellenberger of Bluffton, Jim (Companion Jessie Hall) Holloway of Poneto, Jerri ( husband Don) Lehman of Craigville, Jon ( wife Carla) Holloway of Angola, Jeff Holloway of Fort Wayne, Jody (wife Jodi) Holloway of Bluffton and Jay ( wife Marie) Holloway of Hartford City. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Jack Holloway. Friends are invited to visit with Jane’s family form 3 to 8 on Tuesday at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. A Celebration of Jane’s Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, with calling for one hour prior to the service. Pastor Aaron Westfall will officiate.
