Guests will be able to visit with Pat’s family and watch her funeral service. Patricia Ann Eley, 90 of Bluffton passed away on Sunday evening, March 29, 2020, at Christian Care Retirement Community. She was born on October 24, 1929 in Culver, Indiana to Albert Gottlieb & Mattie Irene (Lee) Thomet. Mrs. Eley graduated from Culver High Scholl in 1947. Patty and Jack Richard Eley were married at the Methodist Church in Culver on August 16, 1947. They shared 60 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on September 7, 2007. The couple lived in Fort Wayne and Hartford City and in 1953, the Eley’s moved to Bluffton. They owned and operated Eley TV and Appliance Sales in Bluffton for 37 years beginning in 1953. A member of First United Methodist Church, the Eley’s enjoyed spending winters in Sebring, Fl. for 15 years. Surviving relatives include three daughters, Cheryllee (Jerry) Flack of Bluffton, Janet Kay (Dennis) Hatfield of Magnolia, Tex., and Terri Lynn (Richard) Wahl of Pandora, Ohio; six grandchildren include: Jarrod & Jon Flack, Lisa Patton, Kristen Mears, Jeff & Mark Wahl.; fifteen great-grandchildren which include: Krysta Hadley, Brent Patton, Kendall, Summer & Preston Mears Jr., Rachel, Allison, Joseph & Benjamin Wahl, Noah & Emily Wahl, Freddie & Cora Flack, and Charlie & Beatrice Flack. Two great- great grandchildren include Avah Hadley & Harper Patton. A sister, Jeanette (Bill) Overmyer and grandson, Kevin Wahl preceded her in death. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020, from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. at the Christian Care North Shores Activity Center. Guests will be able to visit with Pat’s family and watch her funeral service. Private family services and burial have already taken place next to Jack at Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton. Preferred memorials can be made to the Wells County Gideons or Christian Care Retirement Community.
