Mr. James W. King Sr.

James W. “Barney / Jimmy” King, Sr. 70 of Uniondale passed away at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 29, 1943 in Bluffton, Indiana to Gerald and Anna Louise (Bennett) King. He attended Bluffton High School. He worked at Gerber Feed Mill in Bluffton for many years. He was also a truck driver for Ormsby Trucking Company for many years along with other trucking companies. Recently he ran parts for Expert Transmission in Bluffton for the last 12 years. He enjoyed driving and being a talented mechanic. He was able to fix almost anything. He also delivered ATV’s for Fear Power Sports in Berne. He loved spending time with family and his world revolved around his grandchildren. On January 11, 1986 in Wells County James and Robin L. (Lloyd) were married. Robin survives in Uniondale along with children; Tammy King of Poneto, IN. James (wife Kim) King, Jr. of Montpelier, IN, Penny (husband Kent) Clanin of Delray Beach, FL., Kevin (wife Pam “Gert”) King of Montpelier, IN, a daughter-in-law Amy Reynolds-King of Hartford City, IN., Jonathan “John-Boy” Bailey of Tecumseh, MI., Jamie King of Bluffton, IN. along with an adopted daughter, Anne “Annie Banannie” Bailey of Uniondale, IN., along with 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings; Gerald “Slug” (wife Rosie) King of Vera Cruz, IN., Dick (wife Sandy) King of Bluffton, IN., Dian (husband Jim) Grover of Bluffton, IN., Linda Crews of Amity, AR., Kenny (wife Emmy) King of Liberty Center, IN. along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a son Keith King, and two brothers Fred King, Bob King and a sister Beck King. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the funeral home with calling for one hour prior to the service. Pastor Lyle Breeding will officiate.
