Mary Ann Flowers, 81 of Bluffton passed away early Thursday morning, July 9, 2020, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. She was born on July 2, 1939 in Bluffton to Augustus A. & Pansy I. (Nuding) Leimgruber. Mary Ann graduated from Bluffton High School in 1957 and went on to graduate from Ravenscroft Beauty School in Fort Wayne. She worked in the Physical Therapy Dept. and as a Nurse’s Aide at the Caylor-Nickel Clinic for 38 years. She also worked as a hairdresser, at C.J. Flooring and St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 6 years. Mary Ann was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bluffton where she was involved in the St. Joseph Women’s Group and the Social Committee. She was part of the First Baptist Church Women’s Bible Study and volunteered at the Bargain Hut and served as a Host Home Parent. On September 5, 1959 in Bluffton, Mary Ann and Terry D. Flowers were married. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2012. Survivors include her son, Troy Flowers of Bluffton and a daughter, Ashley (Keith) Stinson of Bluffton. She was a loving grandma to 9 grandchildren; Chad Flowers of Miami, FL. Spencer Flowers of Indianapolis, Michaela Flowers of Cincinnati, Shaye (Darren) Floyd of Ossian, Gavin (Andrea) Morris of Ossian, Alexa (Cory) Colwell of Bluffton, Zachary Stinson of Fort Wayne, Brittany (Blake) Harner of Bluffton and Madison Stinson of Bluffton, along with 7 great-grandchildren; Taylor Floyd, Cody Floyd, Mason Morris, Kyler Morris and Tenlee Morris, Haven Morris and Blakely Harner. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter, Angela Morris, a sister Rose Marie (Bob) Bates. The safety of the family and all visitors are our utmost priority. For everyone’s safety, we ask that you practice social distancing and mask are optional during visitation on Sunday at the funeral home and required on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Mass. We appreciate your cooperation and patience. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday (July 13, 2020) at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bluffton with Father David Violi celebrating mass. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon to 3 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home and for one hour prior to Mass on Monday at the church. A Holy Rosary Service will recited at 2:45 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made for Masses.
