Arthur Y. “Art” Ramseyer, 82 of Liberty Center passed away Saturday morning, July 11, 2020, at his residence. He was born on August 17, 1937 in Wells County to Harry & Violet Mae (Slater) Ramseyer. Art attended Petroleum High School. He served his country in the Army National Guard from 1955 until 1961. He was a self-employed trucker for the construction union and retired in January 2000. Art was a member of the Eagles and the Moose Lodge in Bluffton. Survivors include his adopted daughter, Lisa Whitesell of Florida, and a son James “Jim” Ramseyer of Bluffton, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is survived by a special friend, Ruth Miller of Liberty Center. Art is survived by his sisters, Shirley (Kai) Berry and Velma “Sis” Grover of Keystone and an adopted brother Dale Slater of Wells County. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Brian Ramseyer, and four brothers, Norman, Jim and Sonny and Dwayne Ramseyer. As Art requested, there will be no services held at this time.
