Jarred Carpenter

Jarred Landon Carpenter 20 of Bluffton went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening. Jarred had a spirit that was full of life. He cherished his family and friends and never knew a stranger and was loved by all. He truly enjoyed life to the fullest and spending time with family and friends. Jarred was born on June 26, 1991 in Bluffton. He graduated from Bluffton High School with the class of 2010. During High School he was active in the Football, Baseball and Basketball Teams. He even was a member of the Bluffton Wrestling Team. He loved athletics, and even after graduating he worked as a 8th grade Middle School Football Coach for Bluffton. Jarred also played for the Summit City Sluggers, traveling baseball team in Fort Wayne for 3 years. Jarred worked for both Harvey Farms and Prible Farms for some time. His passion and talent was welding. He spent many late nights in his fathers shop welding for others. He was in the process of opening his own business, P & C Welding Services. Survivors include; his father and step-mother, Gary A. & Mel Carpenter of Bluffton along with his mother April (Garcia) Carpenter of Bluffton. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Mark “Maria” Lemler of Uniondale, brothers; Alan Carpenter, Clint A. (wife Courtney) Carpenter and Michael Carpenter, all of Bluffton. He is also survived by grandparents, Jane Carpenter and Mary Garcia both of Bluffton, along with step-brothers and sisters; Lukas Higgins of Gas City, IN, Mrs. Jason “ Sarah” Nutter of Ossian, Jacob, Seth & Isacc Higgins all of Bluffton. He is also survived by a special niece, Janell Lanette Lemler of Uniondale, and step-nieces Savannah & Rylee Higgins. Jarred is preceded in death by grandfathers, Harold Carpenter and Sam Garcia and grandma Betsy Noe. Friends are invited to visit with Jarred’s family from 2 to 8 on Wednesday and 2 to 8 on Thursday at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2011, at Life Community Church with Pastor Tony Chaney officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery in Poneto.
