Edythe J Kleinknight

Edythe J. Kleinknight, 90, of Bluffton went to her heavenly home on Monday evening, October 16, 2017, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. She was born on March 3, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles Melvin & Bessie L. (Norris) Andrus. Edythe graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City in 1944. Over the years, she worked at Hoosier Grain in Bluffton and retired from Nowak’s Hallmark Store in 1986, where she worked for 13 years. She was a member of Lancaster Chapel Church for many years and held memberships in Lancaster Neighbors Home Demonstration Club, Wells County Council on Aging, 29 Palms Senior Citizens Club and Scatter 8’s Square Dancers. Edythe enjoyed volunteering at the Caylor-Nickel Clinic and Wells County Food Bank and was an avid euchre player. On Feb. 15, 1945 in Laguna Beach, CA. Edythe and Marvin Kleinknight were married. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2003. Survivors include Edythe’s children: Dale M. Kleinknight of Joshua Tree, CA, Douglas A. (Cathy) Kleinknight of Ossian, Penny J. (Jeffrey) Flowers of Fort Wayne and Jill A. (Tony) Terhune of Bluffton. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Suzanne Cyrus, Jennifer Stephens, Michelle (Jason) Collins, Bill (Tara) Kleinknight, Megan (Isaac) Stoller, Matt (Melissa) Terhune, Morgan Flowers and Shelby Flowers, along with 8 great-grandchildren: Brendyn & Alyssa Cyrus, Aiden Stephens, Cameron & Kaitlyn Collins, Lincoln & Logan Kleinknight and Mason Terhune in addition to a brother Robert C. (Barbara) Andrus of Chino Valley, AZ and a sister Vonda Stettler of Ogden, Utah Edythe was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Melvin Andrus. A service to celebrate Edythe’s life will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday (October 20, 2017) at Lancaster Chapel. Pastor Denny Leinbach will officiate. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton. Calling hours will take place from 2 to 7 P.M. on Thursday at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton, and for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to Lancaster Chapel or Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton.
