| Jeanette A. Johnson, 93, of Berne, died at 12:22 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Swiss Village Retirement Community. Mrs. Johnson was born in Adams County on Dec. 27, 1916 to Ezra and Veronica (Schlotzhauer) Lantz. She married Paul W. Johnson in Bluffton in February, 1983; he preceded her in death on June 11, 2003. Jeanette attended Berne High School. Mrs. Johnson worked at Franklin Electric for 19 years. She was a member of West Missionary Church in Berne. She was a life resident of Adams and Wells counties. Surviving relatives include one daughter, Ann (Les) Frauhiger of Bluffton; two sons, Ned McCune of Phoenix and Barry (Andrea) McCune of Monroeville; and six grandchildren, Brett Nicholson of Warsaw, Chris Frauhiger of Bluffton, Cammy Brantzeg of Downingtown, Pa., Holly Mumaw of South Bend, Shauna Spence of Bayankhungor, Mongolia and Carmen Catellier of Huntington. Mrs. Johnson was also preceded in death by one son, Alan McCune; and three brothers, Glenn Lantz, Earl Lantz and Dale Lantz; and one grandson, Derek Nicholson. Calling hours will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Swiss Village Auditorium in Berne. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, at the auditorium, with Pastor Keith Rupp officiating. There will also be calling one hour prior to services Friday in the Auditorium. Burial is at M.R.E. Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Swiss Village Retirement Community, or West Missionary Church.
